Assessment Test Schedule
Spring 2010
Assessment testing is offerred for English, Math, Chemistry and ESL/CELSA. Most testing is done in SRVC E164. It is possible to take two assessment tests (in different subjects) during an assessment test session.
In order to take an assessment test you must have each of the following:

A Diablo Valley College application on file with the Admissions Office
- Your DVC student ID number*
- An official Photo Identification document (i.e. Drivers License, Student ID, passport, etc.)*
*Bring #2 and #3 with you to the test session.
When you take a test:
- Show up on one of the following test dates. Appointment or prior sign up is not necessary.
- Please be at the test location 10 - 20 minutes before the test start time.
- Have your photo ID and your DVC Student ID number with you.
- Testing begins promptly on the hour.

Two types of testing are offerred: Accuplacer and Scantron
- Accuplacer testing is computer-based and used for English and College Level Math (Math 4 and 5). Accuplacer results are available within minutes of completing the test.
- The Scantron test involves reading from a test booklet and manually entering answers on a Scantron form. It is used for Chemistry, ESL, and Math 2 and 3. Scantron test results will be available for pickup at SRC Reception within 1--2 weeks after the test. You will be contacted when your results are available -- be sure that your email address and/or phone are clearly readable on the sign-in sheet.
- (Some time in the furure, all assessment testing will be done on Accuplacer.)

Math assessment sample tests are available for you to pick up in the kiosk located next to SRVC Admissions Office in W109.
Our retest policy is as follows:
- English Twice/semester, at least 7 days between tests
- Math
College Level: Twice/semester, at least 7 days between tests
Levels 2 and 3: ONCE per year (once per 365 days)
- ESL/CELSA Once per semester
- Chemistry Once per semester
