CalWORKs is designed to provide comprehensive student services to individuals who receive cash assistance from the Employment and Human Services Department and are enrolled at Diablo Valley College. The overall objective of the CalWORKs Program is to assist each participant by providing support services which will enable students to attain their personal and academic goals which lead to meaningful employment.
The staff members of the CalWORKs Program are committed to creating an environment which promotes:
- A spirit of truth and mutual understanding and respect
- Education and training that leads to family self-sufficiency
- Student empowerment and advocacy
- Student success
- Development of the whole person
- Development and achievement of individual goals

To schedule an appointment in person:
Come to the CalWORks Office located on the first level of the Student Services Building. Please check-in at the computer located in the Career and Employment Reception area.

Call the CalWORKs office at 925-685-1230 ext. 2081 or 2722 and schedule an appointment to meet with the CalWORKs coordinator or staff.
